Oh, the Places We’ll Go!
Cup of Joe, July 22, 2022
The Worship Team and I want to hear from you! Usually, every year the team and I participate with other teams from UU congregations across the country to choose the themes that the Soul Matters Themed Ministry Sharing Circle will focus on for that year. Budgets are a little tight this year, however, so we won’t be subscribing with Soul Matters for the 2022-2023 liturgical year.
But in the spirit of making lemonade, we’d like your input on themes that we might use to shape our worship and faith exploration next year! I’ve kept all the resources that Soul Matters put together for past years, so we have a library of materials that we can consult. And, in addition, I also made a list of topics or issues that might be of interest that might not feel included in themes of past years.
Please go to https://forms.gle/B1ZFMmgMngoC62PH6 or https://bit.ly/2022-2023themes and fill out the short form you’ll find there! What issues and themes seem especially relevant to you given our current time and place? We are very interested in what you have to say!
Interdependently,
Rev. Joe
P.S. I’d also like to encourage you to join in our Tuesday at 4 o’clock Deepening Congregational Life series. Upcoming sessions focus on addressing conflict or tension in congregational life. Every congregation experiences conflict and tension — it is a sign of life! — and our challenge is to encounter that conflict with our best selves. The upcoming sessions will discuss some UU ideas and tools for how we can do this. Whether or not you’ve experienced conflict or tension in our congregation — and perhaps especially if you have — these sessions might be just what you’re looking for.
