UU Saratoga’s adult religious exploration program Leaning Into Meaning begins again with a session on “Leaning into Worship” on Wednesday, October 2, at 5:30. Leaning Into Meaning meets in the King (kitchen) Room at the meetinghouse and you can also join in online. To attend online, first be sure that you are signed in to your personal Zoom account.
Leaning Into Meaning is a monthly 90-minute opportunity for adults and older teens to dig into how we make sense of life and living. It’s an opportunity to grow our skills for engaging with fundamental questions and growing our horizons. Each month we will lean into a topic, issue, or event, focusing on growing our experience and understanding of that topic theologically and spiritually. The group is facilitated by our Minister, Rev. Joe, and meets at 5:30 on the first Wednesday of the month.
In this group, we have the opportunity to learn about UU theology and history, an opportunity to explore our monthly themes in more depth and in more variety, and more. Participating affords an opportunity to reflect, to share, and to learn together, as well as opportunities for growing our sense of spiritual, intellectual, and personal connection.
Leaning into Meaning will begin Oct 2 by leaning into worship. We’ll explore what worship can mean from a liberal religious perspective. We’ll focus on opening up the range of possibilities for what it can mean to worship. We’ll focus on discovering ways worship can be a healthy, healing, and enjoyable thing to do.
A short collection of quotations and readings on “worship” can be found here.
