The Basics of Breeze: An Introduction

Getting onto Breeze is a breeze!

“Breeze” is the software our congregation uses to display the online directory and event calendar. It’s also where you go to make a gift online and check your personal giving history.

Some data in Breeze is password protected, and some is not.

If you would like to see the list of meetings and events that are on the calendar, you won’t have to log on first. The event calendar lists the name of the event, along with the date, time, and location. You can view the event calendar on our website. It’s also available for view when you log onto your personal Breeze account.

To make a gift online, you don’t have to log on, but you do need the link to the giving form. Through the link to the secure form, you can make a gift anytime, from any location, without logging on.

There are a few features of Breeze that are only accessible by logging on. Because it’s a password protected site, only those in our congregation who have received an invitation may log on. (Note: If you’ve been attending services on Sundays and are interested in being involved in the congregation, but haven’t received an invitation yet, please use the contact info at the end of this article to request that an invitation be sent via email.)

To log on, click this link or click the Breeze logo found at the bottom of each page of the uusaratoga.org website.

Contacting other UU Saratoga congregants couldn’t be easier. You can find phone and email information in UU Saratoga’s Breeze database. Once you’ve logged on, type the person’s name into the search bar at the top left side of the screen. Not sure who you’re looking for? See the entire list of UU Saratoga congregants in Breeze by clicking on the “People” link at the top of the screen.

Checking your personal giving history is easy and convenient with Breeze. Once you’ve logged on to your personal account, click the “My Profile” button at the top of the screen. You’ll see your own page details. Navigate to the menu on the left side, and click the “Giving” link. Here you will find information about the pledges and gifts you’ve made in support of UU Saratoga.

Back to the details your personal profile page – take a moment to upload a photo of yourself and verify that the information is correct. Some of the details you see on your profile page are not made available to the rest of the congregation, such as your birthday and your marital status. Your address, email, and phone number have an option to be made private so that others in the congregation cannot view them. The default setting for all new users will allow all invited, logged-in members of the UU Saratoga Breeze community to see your contact information.

To edit your personal information, hover over the section title and when you see the words “click to edit section”, click, edit, and save.
