UU the Vote Planning Meeting, Sunday, January 26, 4 pm

The 2020 elections will be the most important in living memory. That’s why the Unitarian Universalist Association is launching UU the Vote to support congregations and build deeper solidarity with local, statewide, and regional partners from both secular and multi-faith justice movements in activating thousands of UUs to mobilize voters, counter voter suppression, and to engage in spiritually grounded, values-based issue conversations with voters in their communities.

Join us for a planning meeting to:

  • Elect a chair
  • Determine those initiatives that strategically the most effective use of our time
  • Discuss other non-UU-affiliated activities to register voters in targeted territories likely to vote our values
  • Make sure black and brown-skinned people who have been purged from voting roles in swing states get re-registered
  • Promote candidates who prioritize mitigating climate
