We know this is a tense and tender time for many and we’re collectively carrying a great deal of uncertainty around the future, not limited to next week’s election and its aftermath. In times like these, centering love in community can be a transformative form of resiliency that grounds us in possibility.
As we approach Election Day, it is critical that we come together to nourish our spirits and move in our collective power. This is about more than one election; it is about grounding ourselves in the values and communities that drive our fight for justice. No matter your issue; climate justice, democracy, gender justice, or criminalization, we are in this work together. That’s why we are excited to invite you to join us for Forward Together: Anchoring in Community Post Election, a virtual series designed to offer space for reflection, spiritual grounding, and practical organizing in response to the evolving political landscape.
Join Side With Love, UUA Congregational Life, and UUA senior leadership for this special three-series event following the 2024 Election. Each event is at 8pm ET / 7pm CT / 6pm MT / 5pm PT.
Registering here will register you for all three events; join if you are able!
Session One – 11/6: After Election Day
Take a moment for spiritual grounding during this critical time. Join us to explore the resources UUA has prepared to support community resilience, receive insights from Side With Love on the evolving political landscape, and connect with your Regional Congregational Life staff for localized support.
Session Two – TBD (When the Election is Called): Meaning-Making & Immediate Action
Gather with UUA President Rev. Dr. Sofía Betancourt, Side With Love, and UUA Regional Congregational Life staff for a time of reflection and response. Together, we’ll assess congregational needs, explore immediate action steps from Side With Love, and find pastoral care and sustenance for the journey ahead.
Session Three – 11/19: The Way Forward
As we transition from uncertainty to resilience, join us to hear from Side With Love field staff about the movement landscape and congregational responses. Regional Congregational Life staff will host breakout sessions for each region to discuss next steps and strengthen plans moving forward.
