Saturday Vigils, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. (Post Office @ Broadway, Lake, & Church)
All are welcome to join Indivisible/ADK/Saratoga (IAS) in weekly “good trouble”
events.

Next Thursday, from 6:00 – 7:30, Social Justice Social Hour at the Frederick Allen
Lodge (69 Beekman Street) activists will gather for adult beverages, snacks
(communion) and to discuss social justice coordination and collaboration. Temporary
associate membership fee = $5.00, sponsored by MLK Saratoga. Among other topics,
preparations for Peace Week (September 21-27) will be discussed and finalized by
September 1.

Monday, August 31, 6:30 – 8:00 Our Lodge Foundation’s next Kindred Spirits
Songfest session, themed: Revolution, will be held at Saratoga Arts 320 Broadway.
Folk Musicians Cosby Gibson and Tom Staudle will perform and lead audience
singing anthems such as Big Yellow Taxi, What a Wonderful World, and . The monthly

SJT Events
Yesterday, Rev. Vee met with Mark to discuss social justice at UUC-SS and in our
community. We agreed to arrange a mutually convenient meeting with SJT after
Labor Day. Stay tuned…

On September 20, (time TBD), the newly formed SJT Book Group will discuss The
Beginning Comes after the End, by Rebecca Solnit, Third Act Board Member
https://thirdact.org/about/who-we-are/ author of Men Explain Things to Me,
Hope in the Dark, and 20+ other books. Discounted (-20%) copies will be available
