My Dear UU Saratoga Community,

I have been tremendously humbled to hear in these last couple weeks the many and significant ways that my ministry has had an impact on your lives.  That my ministry has meant so much to so many of you means a great deal to me.  I will carry you always in my heart.

Out of my concern for the health of the congregation and its future ministry, I will not be maintaining contact with congregants after I leave for at least a couple of years.  This is a difficult practice, but after long experience, the UU Ministers Association and the UUA have come to know it to be best practice.  It is one of the ways that, after I’m gone, I will continue to live out my love for this wonderful community.

My shared ministry with you has meant the world to me, and I will never forget it or you.

Your graciousness and generosity of spirit I recognize as a precious gift, and I will carry it with me wherever I go.
