Recent Events – City Council Meeting – On Tuesday, October 27, community
members reacted to the FY2027 budget proposal, specifically, eliminating all financial
support to community non-profits serving seniors, children, the homeless and other
vulnerable residents, a fraction of the city’s $67.4 million budget. Next November, let’s
remember the council’s smug disregard for constituents’ concerns.
