Resistance Lab 1.0 non-violent resistance training

THIS SUNDAY, JULY 13
from 2:00pm to 4:30 pm!
Our Social Justice team has partnered with Indivisible ADK/Saratoga to bring this event to our meetinghouse!
Join us for Resistance Lab 1.0 non-violent resistance training to hear how authoritarian regimes have successfully been taken down in recent history, using innovative, sometimes humorous, tactics. As we witness our country sliding quickly into an authoritarian state you might be wondering what can we do to stop that process and turn things around back towards democracy.
In this session, we’ll view a live Zoom presentation by Pramila Jayapal, US Representative from Washington State, followed by a pre-recorded presentation by a leading expert on successful movements to take down autocrats and dictators. Then, we’ll have an opportunity to take what we’ve just learned and brainstorm tactics that we could use in our present political situation.
It is engaging, empowering and gets our mental wheels turning! The session ends with a sharing of ideas. We hope to see you there!
