come together to find connection, understanding, and hope through their shared
experience. The event aims to reduce the stigma and shame often associated with
suicide loss and ensure survivors know they are not alone.

MAiD (Medical Aid in Dying)
Last week, UUCSS members joined a vigil to encourage Governor Hochul to sign
the Medical Aid in Dying bill on her desk. After this Sunday’s service, we’ll gather to
write cards urging the Governor to sign the bill. Images of completed cards will be
sent to the coalition who will share them with the Governor’s office.
Lucy Manning also attended a NYUUJ (New York UU Justice) convocation and
forwarded their follow-up message including links to shared resources discussed
during the meeting:
Dear Team,
Apparently there are some resources available from the NYUUJ conference I attended 2
weeks ago, in case you're interested.

Thank You for Attending the Justice
Convention!
Thank you to all of you who attended our Justice Convocation either online or
in-person. We had a day full of education, connection, and preparation for
action. We are so grateful for all our speakers, volunteers, and participants.
Without you, none of this would've been possible. Our in-person participants
had the opportunity to fill out a paper feedback survey. If you participated
online or didn’t have the chance to do a paper survey, we’d love to hear about
your experience and have created an online survey for you to share feedback.

Convocation, you can check out our shared materials folder for slides and

convocation. Your donations make our work (including events like the Justice
Convocation) possible. If you're still looking to donate (or to share the donation
