SARATOGA IMMIGRATION COALITIONEMERGENCY FUND
ICE arrests are stealing workers from our community and tearing families apart. In
response, donations to the SIC Emergency Fund meet immediate needs of our
immigrant neighbors, in small amounts, enough to pay for a month’s rent, weekly
groceries, or other daily needs while longer-term solutions are sought. Referrals come
from service providers and faith leaders at work in the community, who in many cases
are already familiar with the circumstances of those in need. And the fund is designed
to serve the community well known to SIC, primarily Saratoga, Washington & Warren
Counties.

“Finally, there was a congressional town hall in Glens Falls last week.
Unfortunately, the woman who represents the 21st Congressional District was not there.
Fresh off being booed in Plattsburgh earlier in the week, Rep. Elise Stefanik opted for a visit with the bovines at the Washington County Fair while 400 of the citizens she represents were filling a room at the Queensbury Hotel in downtown Glens Falls.
On hand were three members of congress.”
Cheers,

“I’VE OFTEN TOLD children the story of a man who stood before God, his heart
breaking from the pain and injustice in the world. “Dear God,” he cried out, “Look at
all the suffering, the anguish and distress in Your world. Why don’t you send help?”
God responded: “I did send help. I sent you.” ― Rabbi David J. Wolpe
