Social Justice Team Notes – March 27, 2026
This week has been busy…
Sunday night past – Interfaith Vigil in Solidarity with Our Immigrant
Neighbors
Led by clergy from Dyer Phelps AME Zion Church, Presbyterian/United Church of
Christ, Saratoga Springs United Methodist Church, and Temple Sinai. Around 50
activists sang and listened to inspiring scripture and quotes at Temple Sinai, then
proceeded to City Hall to sing and pray for our guests.
Wednesday, March 25: UUtheVote Webinar: Capital/North Country UU members
joined over 430 young and old, diverse, and enthusiastic participants from all over the
U.S. Recorded proceedings, along with resource links in an email will be shared with
SJT and others interested in UUA’s plan to ensure safe, fair, and peaceful elections.

Ongoing: “Saturday Vigils,” Noon to 1:00 p.m. (Post Office @ Broadway,
Lake, & Church) This week will be overshadowed by NoKings3. Still, a faithful few
will show up for fellowship and cheers from drivers and passersby.

UUC-SS will gather at the meetinghouse 1:45 and march from to Broadway and
US 50. Wear UUC-SS yellow: Lucy’s scarves and UU “Side with Love” T-
shirts! Honk and Wave!
