UU Saratoga members are invited to a Coffee Chat following this Sunday’s service to discuss the results of our recent Sunday Services Survey conducted in recent weeks by  the Board and Worship Team.

Survey facilitator Laura Kalb will present findings and gather further input to help shape future Sunday programming and potential new initiatives in civic engagement, community engagement, and small-group ministry.

Generating 68 responses – approximately half the congregation – the survey revealed particular interest in the current political situation, spirituality, UU values, stewardship and congregational matters, and social justice. Other themes of interest included hope, local activism, ethics, and mindfulness.

Respondents also expressed a strong desire to hear from diverse speakers, with guest UU ministers and spiritual leaders ranking among the top.

The Coffee Chat will aim to clarify priorities and unpack broader topics, such as spirituality. “We want to explore what that means to members,” said Kalb, a life-long UU and Skidmore graduate who returned to Saratoga Springs last year upon retiring from a 35-year career in public policy survey work.
