In these days, resistance often means pushing back against the forces of tyranny, actions needed to preserve and protect sacred rights that are under attack by unconscionable, ruthless actors. This service is led by Eric Lawson, a longtime valued member of our congregation. A retired attorney at law, Eric’s practice was limited to dispute resolution – mostly arbitration and mediation. He was the first Chief Regional Mediator for the State Public Employment Relations Board and co-authored several books on aspects of collective bargaining. He is a Master Forest Owner and advises folks on the management of their forest lands. Eric serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Adirondack Council, which pursues the ecological integrity of the Adirondacks. He and Beverly serve together on the Board of Directors of the Shelters of Saratoga, which works to provide shelter and transitional housing for homeless citizens. A great-grandfather, Eric has been blessed with many gifts, including 65 years of living with Beverly.
